The Frost Never Ends:

The game takes place 30 years after the devastating blizzard that struck Frostbank. The land remains shrouded in endless frost and a harsh, icy climate. You play as the leader of a resource-hungry city, where expansion and internal conflicts are unavoidable. The decision regarding your city’s future and the consequences of your actions rests with you. In Frostbank 2, you can build your city on a new scale by creating entire districts for different purposes. Ensure that all parts of the city work together seamlessly, and research technologies that will determine the path of your citizens’ progress.

The City Must Not Fall:

“Frostpunk 2 is still about the city and its community,” says Jakub Stokalski, co-director and design director at 11-bit Studios. “But the internal turmoil, fueled by growing social disparities, means players will face new kinds of threats. We use a post-apocalyptic setting to tell a meaningful story about human ambition. Because ultimately, what could destroy us isn’t nature itself—it’s human nature.”

Navigating Factions as a Guardian:

As the city grows, enacting and passing new laws becomes more complex. People gradually split into factions with different, and often conflicting, visions of the future. The Council is where these ideas clash, sometimes violently. Your role as Guardian is to ensure the city doesn’t fall victim to these conflicts. Manage emerging crises and, at the same time, guide humanity toward a new destiny.
